| Comment | Recording quality is absolutely outstanding, except perhaps a somewhat sterile drum recording; that one flaw, however, is worsened by compression dancing on the edge of DR6, as the drums and bass go from adequate to thin depending on the mix density because volume has been clipped out. Eighty-three minutes of progressive metal needs more dynamics or it will start growing staler than it should; apparently, the band is aware and wants to fix it. Though this isn't so bad for a low DR7, I do hope so. |
