| Comment | Appears to be a faulty mastering job. Early Revisited Rec. release numbers from Klaus Schulze's catalog had numerous issues like highly compressed audio (while also recorded with low peak amplitude), digital glitches, etc. Track 1 here looks nominal, but the rest are affected the same way (all have peaks of -9.54 dB from full-scale). I don't see pre-emphasis flagged on anything, either, to possibly explain any of this. I may have gotten a faulty edition that was subsequently fixed at the mastering level, as I see another entry for this one that doesn't have this compression/limiting glitch on tracks 2 - 5. |
