| Comment | I noticed another entry that claimed the Capitol Records pressing (manufactured by EMI) was the only one without the non-brickwalled mastering, specifying that the pressing had OLE 197-2 on the spine and no trace of the Capitol label was "the bad master." Well I got the alleged "bad master" and ripped it, ran it through the DR meter and lo and behold, it looks to be the same mastering as the "good master." The inner hub of the CD says "LN OLE 197-2 03" and indicates it was manufactured by WEA. The tray card only has Matador with no mention of Capitol and has the URL www.matador.recs.com in fine print. Glad it's the "good" master but I'm guessing the "bad master" is just the later remastered edition from 2008 and that the original CD pressings are all "good." |
