| Comment | 5.1 Mix from the DVD, no Downmix. This is an interesting mix, it seems like they took the "metal" parts and compressed them quite a bit (as in brickwalled them, like metal usually is) and then put the orchestra/synthezisers and choirs on top without much compression. This is especially apparent on the last track and looking at the waveforms certainly supports this assumption. The exception is track 7, which doesn't feature an orchestra and is still not brickwalled. The surround mix itself is nothing special, the surround channels are quiet and often barely noticeable. This may be a good candidate for downmixing though, since the front channels are way more dynamic then the CD. |
