Comment | The drums sound great on this album (except for when they deliberately avoided making them sound good on the first song), but occasionally it gets pretty messy. Seriously though, this is pretty disappointing :/. There are many parts, especially in the aforementioned songs, where you can hear blatant pumping. It would be awesome if they could rerelease it, because this is truly an amazing album- one of the best of the decade so far, in fact. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- foobar2000 1.2.9 / Dynamic Range Meter 1.1.1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Analyzed: The National / High Violet -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DR Peak RMS Duration Track -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DR5 -0.42 dB -7.09 dB 4:40 01-Terrible Love DR5 -0.47 dB -7.61 dB 3:25 02-Sorrow DR5 -0.46 dB -6.61 dB 2:54 03-Anyone's Ghost DR5 -0.42 dB -8.10 dB 4:37 04-Little Faith DR6 -0.54 dB -7.77 dB 4:19 05-Afraid Of Everyone DR5 -0.24 dB -6.72 dB 4:36 06-Bloodbuzz Ohio DR6 -0.52 dB -6.94 dB 3:24 07-Lemonworld DR6 -0.59 dB -7.96 dB 5:34 08-Runaway DR5 -0.43 dB -6.77 dB 4:19 09-Conversation 16 DR5 -0.40 dB -7.70 dB 5:40 10-England DR6 -0.34 dB -8.76 dB 4:12 11-Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Number of tracks: 11 Official DR value: DR5 Samplerate: 44100 Hz Channels: 2 Bits per sample: 16 Bitrate: 847 kbps Codec: FLAC ================================================================================ |
